Gefran launches MAX and GAIA: the new digital edge for smart manufacturing

IIoT and GenAI solutions to optimize production and simplify human-machine interaction.

New IIoT and AI solutions

We are proud to announce the launch of MAX (Machine Analytic eXpert) and GAIA (Gefran Artificial Intelligence Assistant), Gefran’s innovative IIoT and Generative AI solutions for the industrial world.

MAX

MAX is an Industrial Internet of Things platform designed to collect and analyze data from automated machines, delivering valuable insights into production processes and device conditions. Its modular architecture covers key areas such as machine KPIs, OEE metrics, condition monitoring, energy consumption, and sustainability, helping OEMs enhance operational efficiency and deliver tangible value to their end users.

GAIA

GAIA is a smart virtual assistant that supports machine operators and technicians through natural language interfaces, or “chatbots”. These AI-powered tools provide users with the information they need for operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting machinery. GAIA’s chatbots can also be tailored to assist customer service, sales teams, and other organizational functions, boosting internal efficiency and support quality.

Both MAX and GAIA are flexible and scalable architectures that leverage edge computing and cloud resources. They are seamlessly integrated with G-Mation, Gefran’s platform for advanced connectivity and visualization, using direct access to PLC data, operator panel interfaces, and secure cloud connection via built-in VPN. These solutions are backed by 40Factory, the Italian start-up specialized in industrial AI, in which Gefran invested last January.
