The Gefran CSP-H series melt sensors are pressure transmitters designed for use in high-temperature environments. Their key feature is the ability to measure media pressure at temperatures up to 538°C (1000°F).
The sensor design is based on hydraulic pressure transmission; the mechanical stress is transferred via an incompressible transmission fluid (NaK – Sodium/Potassium alloy).
The thick-film strain gauge technology enables the conversion of the physical quantity (pressure) into an electrical signal.
The CSP-H is suitable for applications where thermal signal drift compensation is required due to process temperature variation, particularly in CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) and TES (Thermal Energy Storage) systems.
