G-Mation Apps are a collection of dockerized applications that can be loaded onto G-Mation PLCs.
G-Mation Apps have access to PLC resources—data, CPU, network, visualization—without any impact on process control performance.
This is possible thanks to resource segregation and PLC firmware programming that gives priority to control and field communication tasks.
The docker architecture of G-Mation PLCs allows apps to be loaded and updated remotely via VPN, or directly locally, using a simple interface integrated with the PLC management application.
The current G-Mation App portfolio includes:
Applications supporting advanced PLC management and diagnostics
Connectivity and data analysis apps: integrated VPN, MAX, and GAIA—Gefran’s solutions for Industrial IoT and GenAI
Open source applications for database and dashboard management, together with the relevant connectors developed by Gefran to access PLC data
Applications developed for specific projects or customers, including the thermoelectric Digital Twin of Gefran’s static units
PLC support applications are always included, while open source and VPN apps can be provided on request. The MAX and GAIA apps are made available at the same time as the purchase of the relevant platforms.
