Gefran @ ConExpo-CON/AGG 2026 – TWIIST among the TECHNOLOGY Next Level Award finalists

We look forward to welcoming you at ConExpo-CON/AGG 2026 to discover Gefran sensing solutions for harsh construction environments, including a live demo of the TWIIST

GEFRAN @CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026

ConExpo-CON/AGG is the leading international trade show in Northern America for the construction industry, bringing together manufacturers, OEMs and technology providers from all over the world. At the 2026 edition, Gefran will showcase a comprehensive portfolio of sensing solutions designed to operate reliably in harsh construction environments, delivering position, pressure and safety-related sensors for mobile construction equipment.

Visitors will find Gefran at South Hall, 2nd Level — Booth S84021, where they can explore the latest sensing technologies for construction machinery and mobile equipment and support the TWIIST by voting for our TECHNOLOGY Next Level Award finalist directly at the booth.

TWIIST – TECHNOLOGY Next Level Award 2026 finalist

TWIIST is Gefran’s patented multivariable position sensor, designed for mobile construction machines operating in harsh environments. Its selection as a finalist for the TECHNOLOGY Next Level Award 2026 recognizes an innovative sensing concept that combines compact design, robustness, and intelligent feedback in a single device.

At the core of the TWIIST is a fully contactless measuring principle, developed to deliver reliable position feedback even in applications exposed to shocks, vibrations, dirt and extreme operating conditions. Thanks to its slim profile and self-aligning mechanical design, the TWIIST can be easily installed externally on the machine, avoiding complex linkages or intrusive modifications, and simplifying both integration and maintenance.

Beyond linear position measurement, the TWIIST combines position and additional digital data to support smarter machine control, improved safety validation and higher operational reliability.

Among different cases, a recent integration on a wheel loader demonstrates this capability: TWIIST enabled the measurement of both boom position and inclination using a single sensor, even within a highly constrained installation area. Thanks to its slim profile and self-aligning ball-joint design, the sensor was installed inside the boom without redesigning the mechanical structure — requiring only two simple brackets for fastening. This approach reduced integration complexity while delivering richer feedback for machine control and safety functions.

Its flexible platform and rugged construction make TWIIST suitable for a wide range of construction and mobile equipment applications.

Visit Gefran’s booth, interact with the TWIIST live demo, discover how you can address your challenges, and you can vote for the TWIIST as the winner of the TECHNOLOGY Next Level Award directly at the booth.

Built for harsh work. Engineered for safety

Gefran offers a comprehensive portfolio of sensing solutions for mobile construction machines, designed to operate reliably in harsh and demanding environments. Built to withstand shocks, vibrations and environmental stress, Gefran sensors provide accurate and dependable feedback for the control of critical machine functions, where reliability and safety are essential.

The portfolio includes position sensors, such as GSH draw wire sensors, and pressure sensors from the KM series, developed for robust performance in mobile hydraulic systems. These solutions support a wide range of construction and mobile equipment applications, helping OEMs improve machine control, uptime, and overall operational continuity.

To address safety-critical functions, selected sensing solutions are available with safety-oriented communication protocols and certified up to SIL 2 according to EN IEC 62061 and PL d according to EN ISO 13849-1. This enables manufacturers to design machines that meet stringent functional safety requirements while maintaining high performance and compact system architecture.

Because operator safety is not an option. It’s a design choice.
