GEFRAN LAT 011 laboratory issues calibration certificates for any type of Thermocouple and Resistance Thermometer.
The ranges accredited by LAT are: -80…+600°C for resistance thermometers; -80…+1550°C for thermocouples. LAT 011 is one of the few laboratories in Italy allowed to calibrate thermocouples at up to 1550°C temperature (an immersion depth over 400mm is required for calibrations at temperatures higher than 1100°C).
A LAT certificate contains the following information: calibration data and certificate number of the primary standards; the standard temperature values and the corresponding Ohm or millivolt values of the sensor being calibrated. If the customer needs to know the °C values corresponding to the Ohm or mV values (resistance thermometers or thermocouples) of the probe being calibrated, our Laboratory will provide a Test Report, including the “Results Tabulation” with steps starting from 0.1°C.
The procedures applied to carry out the calibration, as filed at LAT, are also listed in the certificate.
Furthermore, a LAT certificate is guaranteed to be always traceable (thanks to a filing system that grants the certificate to be traced at any time after being issued), and acknowledged world-wide by the other National Metrological Institutes, since LAT is one of the Signatories of the “EA” (European Co-operation for the Accreditation of Laboratories).
For non-accredited measuring ranges (i.e. -195,86°C temperature point, corresponding to liquid nitrogen temperature) and for those types of instruments not covered by LAT accreditation (i.e: 4…20mA, 0…10V etc. transmitters), our Laboratory provides a Test Report traceable to the relevant primary standards. -
