As part of the Eco-Friendly Program by Gefran, the company's commitment to the environment continues through its use of renewable energy. A commitment that is also taking shape with the launch of the photovoltaic system installed on Gefran's new unit at Provaglio.

The system was created by the subsidary Ensun using Radius series PV inverters, manufactured by Gefran and was installed on the roof of one of the production area units, over an area of1,600 square meters.

The installation produces a total of 170 kW and is estimated to cover more than 100% of the energy required for the plant's activities. CO2 emissions into the atmosphere will consequently also be reduced by a total of approximately 90,000 kg.

Gefran's sensitivity towards the environment and renewable energy sources is also demonstrated by a range of products that increase the efficiency of industrial machinery and contribute to saving energy, as well as a line of sensors that direct sophisticated solar tracking mechanisms.

Launched two years ago, Radius, the range of inverters for medium-large photovoltaic systems, represented the practical response to the growing market needs in terms of renewable energy, by exploiting the company's expertise in designing and manufacturing industrial inverters.

Gefran, therefore, increasingly stands out as a "green" company that cares for and strives to protect the environment, attested by a series of actions and ready to launch projects, aimed at reducing waste and optimising energy consumption. Among these, in addition to the new photovoltaic system, the use of recycled paper for packaging and product manuals, which in the near future may also be replaced by digital media, are of importance.
