Profile

Microprocessor controller, 48x96 (1/8 DIN) format for model 1000 and 96x96 (1/4 DIN) format for models 1001 and 1101 manufactured using SMT.
The 1000 family of controllers provide a complete operator interface, with a Lexan membrane faceplate to give IP54 frontal protection that has 3 keys, two green LED displays with 3 (1000) or 4 (1001 and 1101) digits, and red LED indicators for the 3 alarm relay outputs and a green LED for the main control output.
The main input for the control variable is universal and provides the possibility of connecting different types of signal:

  • Thermocouples of types J, K, N, S, R, T
  • Resistance thermometer Pt100 (3-wire)
  • Linear inputs: 0-50mV, 10-50mV keyboard definable 2-10V, 0-10V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA with an external shunt.

An auxiliary analogue input is available for a current transformer input.
The instrument has a double control output that is both relay (5A, 250Vac at cosφ =1) and static (24Vdc, max.20mA) and up to a maximum of 3 alarm relay outputs (3A, 250Vac).
Alternatively, the control output can be analogue (0-20mA, 4-20mA or 0-10V, 2-10V).
The optional communications port can be Current Loop, or RS485 with GEFRAN (Cencal) protocol with a maximum speed of 9600 baud (RS485).
The programming of the instrument is simplified by the grouping of the parameters into function blocks.
Access to the configuration parameters is protected by a hardware jumper and different values of a protection code can be used to restrict the number of parameters that can be displayed and modified by the user.

COMPACTNESS

GFX4 represents an innovative and exclusive solution for temperature control of the sealing bars used extensively on packaging machines for package sealing.

A single compact device, arranged for DIN rail mounting, includes fast and precise temperature control functions, as well as solid state relay and heatsink, integrated current transformer for load control, extrafast fuse and fuseholder, all multipled by four independent and programmable channels.

Savings in terms of space and wiring are absolutely guaranteed.

Connectivity of the GFX4 with the machine controller or directly with the operator panel is made easier by the available of Modbus RTU, CANopen, Profibus DP, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP.

SPEED

The new "2400" fast indicator/interceptor, (sampling time just 2 msec) can manage independent multiple weighing processes.

The two high resolution (100,000 points) universal inputs directly accept connection with load cells (typically, Gefran OD models).

The four available outputs can be freely set to reference channel 1 or channel 2.

A Modbus RTU communication line with baudrate programmable up to 115200 bps conveys weighing information directly to the control system, where it is possible to introduce the individual weighing setpoints and other operational parameters

Positioning control

PRECISION AND STURDINESS

In vertical packaging machines, as in horizontal wrapping machines, position transducers are often used to appropriately position the sealing bar, or to measure the dimensions of the different objects to be packaged.

For these applications, the model PZ potentiometric displacement transducers, with double self-aligning joints at each end, are perfect.
Or you may choose the model PC for applications requiring greater sturdiness and IP protection (up to IP67).

Wood working machinery

FEEDER ROLL
The Feeder Roll is equipped with QL and HQL asynchronous motors (IP54 version) or HQLa asynchronous motors (IP23S version) complete with incremental encoder.
In highly dynamic applications, the Feeder Roll may be equipped with an SBM brushless motor and XVy-EV servo drive.
The motor is powered by an XVyA-EV servo drive that receives the encoder on the metric wheel as well as the motor encoder.
The Feeder control system is fully integrated in the drive
The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, GDnet, DeviceNet or Modbus.

BLADE FLYWHEEL MOTOR
The Flywheel Motor is powered by an AGy-EV drive. The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, DeviceNet or Modbus.

» Flying Shear


CARRIAGE MOTOR

The Carriage is equipped with QL and HQL asynchronous motors (IP54 version) or HQLa asynchronous motors (IP23S version) complete with incremental encoder.
The motor is powered by an XVyA-EV servo drive that receives the encoder on the metric wheel as well as the motor encoder.
In highly dynamic applications, the carriage may be equipped with an SBM brushless motor and XVy-EV servo drive.
The Flying Shear control system is fully integrated in the drive.
The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, GDnet, DeviceNet or Modbus.

BLADE FLYWHEEL MOTOR
The Flywheel Motor is powered by a drive in the AGy-EV series. The drive is connected to the machine PLC via CANbus, DeviceNet or Modbus.
